About Azad Foundation

About the Position

Azad Foundation is seeking an experienced Program specialist to lead its Men for Gender Justice Program. This program aims to engage men and boys in promoting gender equality, challenging stereotypes, notions of hegemonic masculinities, increasing the self-efficiency among boys & young men to improve their relationships, personal wellbeing, and creating a gender sensitive environment that serves to benefit both men, women and people from all genders. The Program specialist will be responsible for overseeing the program’s strategy, implementation, campaigns, collaboration with organization, reporting & monitoring and evaluation.

Role Description – Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee program activities, including leadership training, workshops, community outreach activities and building synergies and working closely with the district lead of WWW and programme leads of other programme
  • Facilitate training session with boys and men, parents on thematic issues of program in communities.
  • Foster partnerships with organizations, government agencies, and community groups to amplify program impact.
  • Provide training and capacity-building support to program staff, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare program reports, including progress reports, evaluation reports, donor reports and ensuring MIS is maintained
  • Develop and implement the #GharKaKaamSabkaKaam campaign on unpaid care work, masculinities & collaborate with other organisation.
  • Facilitate development and create content including curriculum, toolkit for stakeholders on issues and materials for the programme.
  • Facilitate monthly meetings, quarterly review of the implementation of all programmes.
  • Policy analysis & networking at the national & state level on the issues of engaging men and boys with organizations & other stakeholders working with men and boys for gender justice.

Professional & Educational Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as social work, gender studies, or development studies (desirable).
  • Experience: Should have at least 5-8 years of experience in the similar field; prior experience in Gender & Masculinity training is desirable.
  • Skills: Strong program management, facilitation and community engagement skills and ability to absorb pressure and uncertainty within the ecosystem and build generative long-term solutions.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of gender justice issues, masculinity and program management.
  • Language: Proficiency in English, Hindi (advantage of local languages- Bangla / Tamil).
