This year, we strengthened our commitment to transforming lives through gender-just skill education (GJSE), empowering women with driving licenses, green transportation jobs, and policy engagement, while building vital partnerships for change.

In 2022-23, Azad’s roadmap has been thoughtfully directed towards rebuilding fairer communities for a gender-just recovery by addressing the challenges that left many of our communities under severe economic and psychosocial stress due to the pandemic.

Despite the manifold crises of our times, including the pandemic, geopolitical conflicts, and rising economic and social challenges, we resolve to shine our brightest. This annual report reflects our resilience and unwavering commitment to supporting marginalized communities.

In a year of global upheaval and adversity, Azad Foundation has stood in solidarity with the communities it works with, ensuring food security, supporting women survivors of violence and transforming lives through dignified livelihoods.

In a year marked by unprecedented challenges due to the pandemic, Azad’s 2019-20 Annual Report highlights the resilience and dedication of our team, who continued to champion social change while growing and reflecting on their own journeys.

Over ten years, Azad grew from one to six centers, built national and international partnerships, and enabled over 2,000 women to become professional chauffeurs, contributing more women to the driving industry than any other single institution in India.

Reflecting on the 10 years of breaking boundaries, our Annual Report highlights milestones in empowering women as chauffeurs, fostering feminist leadership, and advancing gender justice.

In 2015-16, Azad drove transformative change, expanding our mission and partnerships to empower women, challenge norms, and pioneer new opportunities in professional driving.

In 2014-15, Azad grew in multiple ways- expanding its reach, launching new initiatives, and deepening collaborations. This report highlights our progress and ongoing commitment to honing our craft better—doing more, and better than what we have been doing.
