Azad Parindey, Vol-23

This edition of Azad Parindey aims to delve into the perspectives and experiences of Azad's young feminist leaders, adolescent girls, young men and boys and drivers about how their identities shape their experiences, and how those experiences, in turn, shape who they become.

Share

This edition looks at how Azad’s leaders and drivers envision a world where all intersecting identities and experiences are respected, included and celebrated.

It focuses on:

  • Reclaiming our identities: Emphasizing that we are not just our religion, gender, class, or caste that often are identities we acquire by birth, but also our passions, professions, and beliefs. We are drivers, feminists, learners, leaders, and more. These identities we often acquire as we choose our professions and relationships.
  • Refusing to judge others based on their identity: Encouraging empathy and understanding instead of assumptions, biases, or stereotypes.
  • Building safe and inclusive spaces: Imagining and working towards homes, communities, schools, workplaces, and public spaces where every identity is respected, celebrated, and is able to live with dignity.
